The Fall and early Winter is a great time to take a look at your outdoor lighting. Two basic questions you should be asking yourself...
1. Are my outdoor lights bright enough to provide both security and safe entrance and exit from my property?
2. Do they give the impression I want to give about my property?
And always use Compact Flurorescent Bulbs (CFL's) in your outdoor lighting if you can. Big money savers, big power savers.

CFL bulbs
Will you really save $$$ with compact fluorescent bulbs? The answer is a resounding yes. We switched over to CFL's almost 3 years ago, both inside and out, and immediately saw a $35 reduction in our electric bill. We find WalMart has the best prices at the moment and the best bulbs, best meaning the most compact.
A frequently asked question is: How high should I hang my new chandelier off the dining room table top? The classic answer is 33" to 40" depending on personal preference. We, however, hang ours 44" off the table top becasue we have a son-in-law 6' 7" and we want to see his head when he's eating with us. So in the end it comes down to personal preference and personal needs.
